A Unique Approach

At our clinic, We believe in building a solid foundation to recovery based on up-to-date research. This journey begins with a comprehensive assessment during your initial visit. We assure you that 100% of your time with us will be focused on active and personalized care; we do not rely on passive modalities such as TENS and ultrasound. The foundations of physiotherapy should always be patient education and a personalized exercise program based on a thorough assessment. Our trained therapists may incorporate manual therapy and other techniques as deemed appropriate to optimize your recovery process.

Client Focused

Patient Empowerment And Independence

After working in Ontario for almost 10 years, Jillian, our lead physiotherapist and co-owner, is determined to break away from the more common business model of multiple clients per hour. This treatment style limits the ability to spend adequate time providing education to clients which plays a fundamental role in the path to recovery. Furthermore, it does not allow the time for the physiotherapist to teach the appropriate exercises. This can lead to poor exercise technique, reduced adherence, and overall lack of recovery. At FPTR, we will spend the time demonstrating exercises, providing feedback both verbally and with tactile cues to optimize effectiveness. Lastly, during your sessions, we will always be present for you to ask questions, voice any concerns, and encourage you to take an active role in your recovery. Patient empowerment and independence is the key to a successful recovery.

Leg Injury

Based On Research

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

The McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) is an assessment process and problem solving paradigm. The McKenzie Method continues to be one of the most researched conservative approaches to musculoskeletal problems. To use this method, clinicians must undergo a series of courses and pass a certification exam which ensures the therapists credibility and high standards of care.
